 Power stations, co-generation facilities and cement plants often use wet scrubbing processes for desulfurization of their flue gases.   Gypsum centrifuges are widely used for washing and separating gypsum generated by the FGD process from the mother liquid.
 
Design Features

 
1. Reduced operation and maintenance cost:
 
Gypsum centrifuges  require less operating power than belt filter installations. The robust design and convenient maintenance   intervals reduce the service cost.
2. Lower power consumption:
Gypsum is dewatered by centrifugal force, resulting in lower residual moisture compared to belt filters. Thus, energy can be saved for further drying of the gypsum. A by-product becomes a resource for the building industry.

3. Minimal installation space:

ypsum centrifuge  installation only requires one third the installation space of a comparable belt filter installation.
4. Highest reliability:
Due to its reliable operation, the spare capacity required can be reduced.

5. Clean and quiet operation:
Centrifuges are contained systems. Dust or vapor is eliminated.

6. High flexibility:
Even if there are unavoidable variations in the process, centrifuges offer flawless results in terms of residual moisture and throughput. Belt filters show significant drops in performance and provide unacceptable moisture contents.
